The Shinobi Warriors Program focuses heavily on:
• Discipline
• Focus
• Respect
• Confidence
• Leadership
• Goal-setting
• Coordination
• Physical fitness
• Positive attitude
• Self-control
• Teamwork
• Perseverance
At Blue Life Karate, students are not rewarded through stripe systems. Instead, children earn specially designed belts that represent their effort, progress, growth, consistency, and personal achievement throughout their martial arts journey.
The belt system teaches children the importance of commitment, patience, and hard work while giving them goals to work toward step by step.
As children continue to grow within the program, something very special begins to happen.
Students are not only taught by instructors, but they also begin learning from older and more advanced students who serve as mentors, leaders, and role models.
Over time, younger students themselves grow into leadership positions where they begin helping and encouraging newer children entering the program.
This creates something much deeper than an ordinary activity.
It creates camaraderie. It creates belonging. It creates family.
Children begin feeling they are part of something positive, encouraging, and meaningful.
The Shinobi Warriors Program is not centered around teaching children to become fighters. While students absolutely learn self-defense, awareness, discipline, and how to protect themselves, the deeper purpose of the program is to redirect a child’s energy into something positive and productive. Many parents today struggle with excessive screen time, low focus, lack of motivation, poor listening skills, and children becoming disconnected physically and socially. Martial arts training gives children a healthier outlet where they become active, engaged, disciplined, motivated, and goal-oriented. Over time, many children naturally begin spending less time glued to screens because they become invested in personal growth, achievement, teamwork, movement, learning, and self-improvement.
Parents often notice major improvements in:
• Listening skills
• Confidence
• School focus
• Respectfulness
• Social interaction
• Responsibility
• Motivation
• Physical activity
• Self-esteem
• Positive behavior
Children who are shy often become more confident.
Children with too much energy often become more focused.
Children who doubt themselves begin realizing they are capable of much more than they believed.
The atmosphere at Blue Life Karate is positive, family-oriented, structured, and encouraging.
Students support one another while learning the value of discipline, consistency, respect, and perseverance.
Shihan/Tuhon Durand Howard has over 52 years of martial arts experience and has dedicated his life to helping children grow through martial arts education.
His teaching philosophy combines traditional martial arts values with modern teaching methods designed to help children succeed in today’s world.
The Shinobi Warriors Program is more than martial arts training.
It is a system designed to help children become stronger, more disciplined, more focused, more confident, and more prepared for life.

Blue Life Karate & Xtreme Kickboxing
People believe that martial arts training is just another extracurricular activity; that is a misconception. There is not any program that is going to give you the benefits that you receive from martial arts training. Many people think martial arts are just about fighting; the truth is that the physical “kicking and punching” are really just the tools that I use to teach the most important and MUCH more valuable lessons about yourself.
